Meet Becky Repp, our new Educational Therapist! She has been working with the homeschool community and offering private Educational Therapy and Academic Tutoring for years. She now will be working with us to meet another big need for kids & teens. School is not easy for everyone, especially for kids with diagnosed learning disorders or those that learn differently. Many of these kids fail or become frustrated with the work. They develop low self-confidence and sometimes just give up. The psychology world used to believe that kids with low intelligence or learning disabilities would always be this way. Science has now caught up with God's teachings on this subject. We now know through research that our brains are moldable, we can grow our intelligence and actually change the physical nature of our brains through our thinking and choosing. This is called neuroplasticity! A big word I know, but basically it means we have more power over our brains than we once thought. God wasn't kidding when he said we can be transformed by the renewing of our minds! I love Dr. Caroline Leaf's research on this. After years and years of research, she has found that we can grow new thought networks that will increase our intelligence and bring healing to our minds and bodies. We are finally recognizing the responsibility and impact our thinking has on the choices we make. We can actually GROW OUR BRAINS and that is exactly what Educational therapy does! I am so excited to offer this new thing to our community. While our other therapists have been working on growing the Emotional Intelligence of our kids, Ms. Becky will be growing the other, intellectual side of their brains! This is good stuff people. It's the life-changing kind. So check out our website for more info. on the therapy and academic tutoring she will be doing! Thank-you Lord for this opportunity.

It helped when you said that educational therapy could help provide proper self-esteem enhancement for the person who needs it. My cousin informed me yesterday that she was intending to continue her healthcare provider career by pursuing educational therapy to understand the mental health approach. She asked if I had ideas on the best treatment approach for providing the best treatment. I'm thankful for this valuable healthcare guide article for effective planning. I'll tell her she can consult educational therapy service to gather facts about the education process.
